MOSCOW, Jul 19 (PRIME) -- The Federal Antimonopoly Service sees no reasons for inflation of prices for bread in Russia, the authority will use antimonopoly regulation tools in case sellers raise the prices groundlessly, a spokesperson for the service told PRIME on Monday.

“Considering the government’s measures to support bread and flour producers, the Federal Antimonopoly Service sees no reasons for inflation of the prices. In case unreasonable price inflation and violation of the antimonopoly legislation are revealed, measures of antimonopoly regulation will be used,” the person said.

Kommersant business daily reported earlier on Monday citing grocery retain chain Verny that bread producers had informed the retailers about a 7–12% rise of prices for their products from August.
